Ambush Series Hoop Nets
Ambush© Series Hoop Nets have become the trusted choice for targeting lobster and crab. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced angler, you won’t find a better net. Endorsed by major captains and widely used in commercial fishing, these hoops exemplify quality and reliability.
Over the years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to studying the behavior of lobsters and crabs to understand how they interact with our hoop nets and traps compared to others. We’ve meticulously considered angles, mesh size, and net thickness in our design process. To learn more, visit our resource pages for more information on both how to rig and use these for lobster or crab!
Since 2002, we’ve been at the forefront of the lobster fishing industry, continually adapting to new trends and pushing for innovation. We began with lay-flat hoops and evolved into our Eclipse series nets, which can collapse for easy storage yet expand into a rigid style. Through multiple design iterations, we have perfected our rigid conical hoop nets to enhance your fishing experience.

Great stuff! The staff at Promar set me up with everything I needed. They’re friendly, helpful and knowledgable!
We are a six pack charter boat that fishes the whole lobster season, anywhere between 3 to 5 trips a week. we have been using Promar hoop nets for the last five years and by far are the best hoop nets you can buy, they are strong, durable and can take a beating and the options of being able to buy different size and different weighted nets really helps out depending on if we’re fishing shallow water or deeper water like we do later in the season. Like I said, we’ve been fishing them for five years and they take a beating wouldn’t recommend anything other than Promar hoop nets I wouldn’t even waste your time buying anything other than Promar hoop nets whether your lobster fishing or crab fishing. They’re seal proof bait cages work like a champ. That’s all we use as well.
Stoked on the new thicker webbing on Xl heavy 36”
Great
Super easy to order, great price and staff was very help full in letting me pick up order in Gardena. Would definitely recommend.
I haven't used them yet but thay are heavy duty and should work fine for deep water dungeness crab.
They work great.
Best customer service, very responsive and helpful when there’s a problem will be ordering more stuff thanks Dennis for getting my order out fast.

I'm never unsatisfied when I purchase products from Promar. Their ambush nets are top of the line!
They worked great! I was expecting these hoops to perform poorly compared to my traps, however they worked great. I'm catching much larger crab than I did with my traps.
Just finished a 4 hour set for Dungeness Crab with 4 of your nets. Ive been crabbing the Northwest Coastal Bays for 50 years. Ive used hoop rings, pots, traps but by far these nets are the very best for pulling up a 15 minute soak of crab without loosing any out of the net for not pulling fast enough. - Tom Zandoli PS. I just ordered 2 more and we are giving away our $150 pots!
Love this net!! Everytime I throw it in the water I catch crabs, the other anglers are so jealous, thank you for a great item!!!
Great product, worth the extra money vs. other type hoop nets. Crabs can't just walk away. We'll balanced when throwing.
The XLH made all the diffence for me while fishing Catalina. I didnt have to fumble with adding weights and they held up great in the heavier current. I was able to come home with limits for me and my buddy.
Blown away with design and quality. Going to be a great lobster season for sure.
